Merge Gaming Will Allow US Poker Players Again

PocketFives reports that by the end of July the Merge Poker Network will start accepting new US players.

Merge Gaming froze new US players’ registrations on the 1^st of June after it became clear that the company cannot cope with influx of poker players after PokerStars, UB.com and Full Tilt Poker suddenly left the US market. That happened when on the 15 of April these three were accused of laundering money and bank fraud as they have allegedly disguised gambling payments through a little bank in Utah.

Merge’s payment processors were not enough to manage all new customer acquisitions at a heat. In just one month its growth topped 100%. However, existing players were allowed to keep on playing Merge’s online poker.

Lock Poker, an advertiser placed on the Gabling911.com site, will welcome new US clients as soon as Merge gives permission. Now it allows players from the USA only at its online casino. The rest Merge poker skins, for example, Hero Poker, claim that they will go on prohibiting new signups from the USA at least during the summer.

Merge will not accept new players from the states of New York, Washington, Louisiana and Missouri.
